Under the aegis of IQAC, NSS Unit of our institution, took part in a Rally on the theme War Against Drug Abuse at Ludhiana on April 2, 2025 by joining forces with Govt of Punjab .Dr.Meeta was the event incharge. The rally was organized in Ludhiana under the direction of the Chief Minister of Punjab.The purpose of the rally was to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage people to stay away from addiction. In a decisive push to rid Punjab of its drug menace, the AamAadmi Party (AAP) government launched its ‘YudhNasheKeVirudh’(War Against Drugs) campaign . Five thousand students from schools and colleges participated in the march. The march started from AartiChowk and reached to the DIG's residence via GhumarMandi. AAP National Convenor ArvindKejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann administered the oath to National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets and flagged off their march past, rallying the youth to take charge of the fight against narcotics at Ludhiana .Around 5000 volunteers from NCC Unit, NSS unit, Youth Red Cross, Red Ribbon Club and Counselling Cell of the other schools and colleges participated in the initiative taken by the Govt of Punjab to raise awareness on drug menace in the state of Punjab. Volunteers of all the institutions carried placards, chanted slogans, and actively participated to promote a drug-free lifestyle. They urged the community to choose healthier and more positive ways of living.
