The purpose of an association is to foster a spirit of loyalty and promote the general welfare of your organization. Alumni associations exist to support the parent organization’s goals and to strengthen the ties between alumni, the community, and the parent organization.


Today, alumni relations is an important part of an institution’s advancement activities for many reasons: Alumni are an institution’s most loyal supporters. Alumni are fundraising prospects. Alumni are often in a position to engage the expertise of the institution in their professional lives.
 

An alumni association is an association of graduates or, more broadly, of former students (alumni).
 

OBJECTIVES OF THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

1. To create a sense of abiding affection and affinity through the mentioned reciprocation in the minds of the former and ongoing students, enkindling their interest to keep themselves aware of the divergent opportunities to encourage together for the contribution of their all-round progress benefiting their Alma Mater.

  2. To develop, encourage, and foster friendship and fellowship among the students, teachers, and senior administrative staff of the past and present.

  3. To foster good rapport between the management, staff, and students on the one hand and the public on the other for the growth and development of the college and to better its public image.

  4. To promote the aims and ideals of the institution as spelled out in its prospectus and other relevant publications.

  5. To arrange and conduct social and cultural programmes for the benefit of members and the general public.
